| Phew. So it's been a year, Xanga. How are ya? Good, I hope. Things are good with me, too, yes. Good indeed. | | |
| Mm.. Friday's performance a'ight. It was my first time back in a while (read: almost a year), so I was a bit rusty and nervous to start with, and I had never played my new music live. I do have a lot written down for what to do differently next time and have been poking around for places to play. There'll be an art opening on March 11 at the Illuminata in Dansville that I've been asked to play for, so you all can count on that, and I've turned my unmastered record into Java's and Spot for some cozy-feeling shows. We'll see what turns up.
I just turned my resume into the RPO box office. What a perfect job that would be. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
If y'all are representatives of indie labels, check out my music and sign me, s'il vous-plait.
| This past night beheld a plethora of vivid images. Every now and again I'll get a set of dreams that, for one reason or another, are exceptionally brilliant and memorable, the kind that gets engrained in your memory like a wood burning. Today I married Mary Lewis in my dream. We just decided that it was worth going for and somehow were able to be married in a church and everything. I don't remember much of a ceremony, but what lingers was that feeling of being hitched. It wasn't unpleasant, but it was very new and seemingly premature. And then my other dreams contained such events as getting set up for my gig on Friday and (this dream was hours in length) worrying about some form of egg-based dish that I was to prepare. I think it eventually developed into some type of deviled eggs, but I'm not really completely sure what the beginning idea was. Either way.. it was odd.
And I know how it feels to be married.
There's this advertisement at the top of this page that says, "SHOOT THE DUCK ...And get a FREE iPOD!" It's really amazing to me that they think that I really believe that using a cheesy, animated, Java-based advertising game will bring me a $300 piece of equipment. Thing is, with half of these things, I usually do it anyhow, just so I can shoot that ridiculous duck.
Friday, 8pm - 10pm, Leaf and Bean. I'll be playing. All of my new material and a few of my old, and you can expect a handful of exciting, indie-turned-folk covers.

In a few words, exactly how I feel about psychology.
Been working on getting started with my music, which is, for the most part, a full-time job. Check out my newly redesigned website at http://www.evangoodberry.com.
Keep your eyes and ears open for... The Middle of the World. My first full-length. My debut record. How exciting.
| I had a dream last night that I checked a recent post on this here Xanga and I had some 10 comments. It was a very nice yet peculiar feeling, and the fact that it's in my dream at all scares me.
I'm in Nashville, making a record. We've put in many long hours in the studio, and have plans to spend even longer ones in the next couple of days. We tracked with Andy Hubbard today and I took Mike and him out to pizza for dinner. The drum tracks went really well, he's an incredible drummer and an even more incredible person.
Keep your eyes open for a diamond record on the market with my name on it. No gold records, no silver, no platinum... diamond.
Check out Mitch Dane's website, too. He's the guy whose studio I'm using. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
